Dear international residents and students,

We are excited to announce that we are hosting an English Café event on Friday, July 31st!

We are currently looking for English-speaking volunteer speakers to chat with local Japanese participants. Since it is university exam season, we are short on student volunteers and truly need your help!

It will be a wonderful opportunity to interact with the local community and make new friends. We would be absolutely thrilled to have you join us! (Even if you cannot make it this time, you can also register for future events via the form below!)

☕Event Details☕

• Date & Time: Friday, July 31, 2026 / 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM

• Location: Kirarie Kusatsu 5F, "Civic Collaboration Hiroba" (市民協働ひろば) *5 min walk from JR Kusatsu station

• Capacity for Volunteers: About 3-4 positions available (Hurry, spots are limited!)

• Volunteer Benefit: 500 yen will be provided for your transportation allowance / stipend on the day of the event.

• What you will do: Join a small group table and enjoy casual, friendly English conversation with local residents.

• Who can join: No teaching experience needed! Non-native English speakers or those who speak English as a second language are more than welcome! (As long as you can communicate in casual English, you are perfect for this role!)
